What would it mean to create a platform that enables people who are creating religious resources in their immediate environments, to share them with people all over the world? What might be possible if the editorial control of such a platform was envisioned to be from the grassroots up (via ranking, reviewing and social bookmarking), than from the top down?
Well, we’re exploring one such possibility through the creation of Feautor.org. Feautor is a site created by volunteers across the Americas precisely for sharing religious resources. We’ve implemented it using Creative Commons licenses, so that anybody going to the site looking for a resource knows that, by definition, they can use what’s there (as long as they don’t do so commercially).
