The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University is seeking a Director for its Doctor of Ministry program. The School of Theology is one academic unit within Virginia Union University; an American Baptist related historically African American institution of higher education. The faculty considers itself a community of reverent scholars with a vested interest in the life of the church. This tenure-track position will begin on July 1, 2013. The position requires leadership through administrative and advising responsibilities for the Doctor of Ministry program. The director will be responsible for teaching two courses within the Master of Divinity curriculum. Faculty rank is negotiable. The ideal candidate will hold the M.Div. degree, an academic doctorate (Ph.D., Th.D., Ed.D.) in a related discipline, full ordination within a recognized denomination, and demonstrate a commitment to congregational life.
