McCormick Theological Seminary, a seminary of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with strong urban, ecumenical, and cross-cultural commitments, is seeking an Associate Dean to lead its well-established Doctor of Ministry programs and continuing education initiatives. The Associate Dean will hold faculty status.
The new Associate Dean should possess administrative experience, be attentive to the current and future realities of the church, and provide leadership for innovation in the Doctor of Ministry Programs and in continuing education. Responsibilities will include administration and teaching.
An earned doctorate (Ph.D., D.Min., or Ed.D.), demonstrated effectiveness in ministry, and a collegial leadership style are required. Preference will be given to candidates with cross-cultural competency, experience in collaborative pedagogies including online learning, facility with interdisciplinary approaches, and the capacity to cultivate new audiences and the growth of the Doctor of Ministry and Continuing Education programs.
