This year’s Fall Gathering will begin with a presentation from our Wornom Innovation Grant recipient Natalie Hill. Following will be an open conversation about the role of religious education in helping people navigate information and disinformation regarding ethical issues and decision-making. Questions to consider and discuss may include:
- What kind of information do contemporary people need to make good ethical decisions?
- How is disinformation influencing people’s understandings of religious and ethical ideals?
- How do shifting ideas of authoritative sources reframe ethical debates in helpful and problematic ways?
- What kinds of responses can religious educators make to address disinformation?
