Lay and ordained leaders are welcomed to explore their shared commitment to the faith and flourishing of our young with the 2013-14 Youth Ministry: Now! lecture series. Each gathering offers a presentation by a renowned scholar on a foundational issue in the field. All eight lectures include a catered lunch and opportunities for networking with fellow youth ministry leaders.
The year starts with Chap Clark on Wednesday, October 2. Clark is the Vice Provost for Regional Campuses and Strategic Projects and Professor of Youth, Family and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. The luncheon will begin at noon in Yale Divinity School’s Old Refectory.
Chap Clark’s lecture is entitled “Beyond Hurt 2.0: Sticky Faith and Other Ways to Love Kids.” He writes, “This session will focus on what is good and powerful about the emerging generation, and what adults–and especially those in the church–can do to celebrate, encourage and help to guide our young into becoming strong leaders for the future.
If you plan to join us, please RSVP to kelly [at] youthministryinitiative [dot] org. The lecture will also be available live online at http://new.livestream.com/yaledivinityschool/YMI. This event is made possible through partnerships with the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, Berkeley Divinity School and the Youth Ministry Initiative.
