The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA, has announced a special edition of its Journal to be published in Spring 2015 with the title, Teaching the Faith, Claiming the Promise: Black Perspectives on Christian Education in the 21st Century. Co-editors for the project are Rev. Dr. Oneal Sandidge and Dr. Anne Streaty Wimberly. Deadline for submission: March 1, 2014.
Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts should be written by Black scholars who contribute to Christian Education in the 21st Century and hold terminal degrees from accredited institutions.
- Manuscripts should discuss Christian Education in the Black Church during the 21st Century.
- Manuscripts may be written on any subject, i.e., family issues, children/ youth/ young adult/ middle age adults/ seniors challenges, caring for the elderly, village breakup, biblical illiteracy, unchurched populations, hip hop culture and rap music in the Black church.
- Edited manuscripts should be fifteen to eighteen pages in length and typed in Word Document.
- Manuscripts should include a minimum of 10 references, with 5 references dated 2010-2015.
- Manuscripts should be written using APA writing style.
