Yale Divinity School seeks to make a tenured appointment in the field of Pastoral Theology and Care, to begin July 1, 2015. In an ecumenical and increasingly interfaith environment, Yale Divinity School prepares students for ordained ministry in diverse Christian churches and for a wide range of professional involvements, including higher education, law, medicine, the arts, management, and public service.
The Divinity School hopes to make an appointment of an established scholar with a record of significant publication, evidence of success as a teacher, and a commitment to theological education. The successful candidate should have expertise in one or more areas of Pastoral Theology and Care, such as communal-contextual models of care, post-colonial pastoral care, embodiment and human sexuality, narrative approaches to care, and/or pastoral research methods.
