The REA Horizons in Religious Education series announces the acceptance of the 2nd book in the series. Open Minds, Devoted Hearts: Portraits of Adult Religious Educators written by Dr. Sarah Tauber will be published in 2015. Dr. Tauber is Assistant Professor of Jewish Education at Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. She has published essays in Religious Education and Journal of Jewish Education. In the book Dr. Tauber uses the qualitative research process of portraiture to explore the lives of three Jewish rabbis as adult educators. Furthermore, she has developed a creative model of connecting literature on narrative, transformation, and spirituality in religious education. The book will stimulate the conversation about the religious education of adults and our efforts to enhance the training of congregational leaders as adult religious educators.
