Project Coordinator

National Interfaith Cable Coalition, Inc. and Odyssey Networks is looking for a project coordinator for the ON Scripture project.

The position reports directly to the Director of ON Scripture – the Bible Works, and works closely with:

  • Director of On Scripture – The Bible
  • Manager of Social Media and Marketing
  • Head of Programming

Odyssey Networks is a media non-profit that creates and uses media to show how people of all faiths and good will engage the world to nurture compassion, justice and hope. The Project Coordinator will work with the Director of ON Scripture – The Bible, a weekly multimedia resource, to coordinate and distribute to our platform partners as well as assist in the everyday running of the feature, including social media and marketing efforts. The Coordinator will also provide social media support around Odyssey’s other efforts, including impact campaigns. Specific duties include:

  • Coordinate and distribute weekly resource to platform partners
  • Nurture relationships with platform partners
  • Work with the Manager of Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to develop social media strategies for On Scripture – The Bible
  • Create and distribute weekly newsletter
  • Develop, create and schedule social media and website content for accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and e-newsletter
  • Research new audiences for Odyssey Networks in order to grow the social media audience and increase the number of likes and followers
  • Create detailed analytics reports using Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Facebook management tools
  • Research new techniques for social media campaigns and new outlets to engage our audience in social media outlets.
  • Organize and moderate monthly twitter chat
  • Support & assist in maintaining multiple WordPress websites
  • Collect and summarize monthly data and design shareable reports
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have some social media & marketing experience (internships included)
  • Proven interest in and strong working knowledge of social media and marketing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft proficiency
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphic design programs preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent proof reading, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative, think creatively and solve problems.
