CDSP: Visiting faculty in ministerial leadership

The Church Divinity School of the Pacific is now hiring a Visiting Faculty of Ministerial Leadership.

As Visiting Faculty in Ministerial Leadership, this person will further CDSP’s commitment to forming lay and ordained leaders for outward-facing ministry in culturally diverse contexts and in a changing church and world. We seek an engaging, dynamic teacher who bridges the academy, the church, and the world, and who can enable students to articulate and embody a public theology that strengthens the church’s relationships to neighborhoods and local communities. This teacher will help prepare students for leadership in a variety of ministry settings in different cultural contexts.

Candidates should be prepared to teach in both online and residential classrooms at the master’s level at an Episcopal seminary within the ecumenical and interfaith setting of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, California.

This appointment is for a fixed term of two years, beginning August 1, 2022, and concluding July 31, 2024. The visiting faculty member will be eligible to apply for the position should CDSP open a search for a permanent appointment.
