As we all know, this year things are a little different and since we cherish our in-person annual conference, we have pushed it to summer of 2021. However, in the interim, we want to create space for people to reconnect, to hold our business meeting, to invite potential new members to have an REA experience, and most importantly to provide space to speak to the current moment we find ourselves in with a Global pandemic, economic crisis, many teaching online for the first time, and racial injustice.
Therefore, we are having a REA Fall Gathering 2020 from Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8th. This will not be business as usual. There will be no papers read or poster presentations. There will be an opening, plenaries, a business meeting, board meetings, an advisory council meeting, informal time to chat and chew together, and a closing. There will also be no registration fee. This is a completely free gathering so feel free to invite your friends, students, and/or others who might have wanted to come in the past but couldn’t. All are welcome!
We know and understand that everyone will not be able to attend everything and that is alright. We will be recording sessions, so please let us know if you would like a recording of a particular session. Come and go as you please and always care for yourself as you need during this time of Zoom exhaustion. If this means you leave early or keep your video off that is just fine with us.
