REA Fall Gathering 2021

Last year we had our very first Fall Gathering in lieu of an Annual Meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it turned out to be a space for great connection and togetherness for seasoned members as well as potential new ones. As we try to continue to stay connected across time zones and countries, we thought having another informal Fall Gathering this year would allow for more connection and togetherness.

Therefore, we are having our REA Fall Gathering 2021 on Wednesday, November 3rd. This will not be business as usual. There will be no papers read or poster presentations. There will be a welcome, one plenary discussion with Dr. Mark Jordan (based on his paper from the summer 2021 meeting), then informal time to chat and chew together, receive and offer mentoring, and space to discuss ideas for a 2023 theme proposal before submission. There will also be no registration fee. This is a completely free gathering so feel free to invite your friends, students, and/or others who might have wanted to come in the past but couldn’t. All are welcome!

We know and understand that everyone will not be able to attend and that is alright. We will be recording the plenary with Dr. Jordan, so please let us know if you would like a recording of that conversation. Come and go as you please and always care for yourself as you need during this time of Zoom exhaustion. Take good care and we look forward to seeing you on November 3rd!
