The 2016 annual meeting will take place at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown hotel, located at 600 Commonwealth Place, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222 (412-391-4600). The hotel is located in the Central Business District, also known as the Golden Triangle, at the meeting of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, and conveniently near the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Heinz Field, PNC Park, Consol Energy Center, Rivers Casino, and a short drive to the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). There is a fitness center, a 24 hour business center, and complementary wifi.
Room rates will be $169 plus taxes and fees when booked through our REA reservation process. We will also have a process in our conference registration where you can seek a roommate, if you would like to share a hotel room during the conference.
There are three primary ways to get from the airport to the hotel:
- local bus, called the “Airport Flyer” (#28x), which runs every half hour and has a stop about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This bus runs on a mostly dedicated busway, so is at least as fast as a car, and costs approximately $3.75.
- Super Shuttle (download this flyer with a discount code for when you make a reservation, one-way is approximately $24, round-trip approximately $44)
- taxi, which will take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, and we estimate will cost around $65
If you drive, please note that there is limited parking at the hotel, and it costs $30 a day. There are a number of local parking garages that are cheaper.
