Rev. Dr. Anton “Tony” Vrame currently serves as Treasurer of the Religious Education Association. He is Executive Director of Holy Cross Orthodox Press of Hellenic College-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA and Adjunct Associate Professor of Religious Education there. He has been a member of the Religious Education Association since the late 1990s and has served on the Board of REA two times, including this term. He has also taught at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA and St. Vladmir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY. He holds degrees from DePaul University (B.A.), the University of Chicago (M.A.), Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (M.Div.), and the Ph.D. in Religion and Education of Boston College. He is a priest of the Greek Orthodox Church. His interest in serving as the Chair of the Advancement Committee is a reflection of his experience with fundraising, his understanding of finance, and the challenge of meeting the needs of current members while reaching out to newer members of our field to get involved with the work of REA.
