Position Available
Editor-Elect Religious Education Journal
For 108 years, the Religious Education Association has focused on the religious dimensions of education in both the public and private sectors of culture. Under Jack Seymour’s thoughtful and wise leadership as Editor, our journal has become internationally recognized for its contributions to thinking, teaching and practicing religious education in diverse communities all over the world. We want that tradition to continue to grow, and the Board of REA has decided to hire an Editor-Elect who will work with the Editor during a transition time from the summer of 2014 until the end of 2015, and then assume the position of Editor in January, 2016. We seek an Editor-Elect of Religious Education, published by Taylor and Francis.
We are a diverse search committee living in the United States, Germany and Israel, and we reflect the reality of both our organization and our journal as it seeks to have a global impact on the ways we are formed in faith and the ways faith impacts the world in which we live in all of its political, religious, and educational dimensions. We seek an Editor-Elect who has vision and imagination to help us continue the work of shaping our field as it responds to the opportunities present in our global world of faith and culture.
