In addition to focusing on religious instruction, the courses explore foundational issues, organizational structures, educational leadership, and administration from a ministry perspective. Becoming aware of the myriad of ministry challenges facing theological school graduates in this millennium and the ever growing needs of the church, the School of Theology launched a Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) degree in 2009. The design of this degree focuses intentionally upon courses essential to the theological and educational preparation of persons seeking to provide effective religious leadership, guidance and instruction for Christian education programs in 1. local congregation 2. regional, state, and national agencies and institutions and 3. creative ministries of transformation beyond the church.
