Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (CBC) is a proactive and principle-centered organization comprised primarily of African-American ministers and laity of predominantly black congregations in Metropolitan Atlanta. Its mission is to provide leadership, advocacy and service to the homeless, helpless and hopeless in the community.

Since 1983, CBC has provided in an ecumenical setting a community forum where issues affecting the lives of African-American and other oppressed people are shared, resources are identified, and resolutions are sought to address specific needs.  Using a non-partisan political process, CBC is a prophetic voice to and for the Black community.

Youth Hope-Builders Academy

The Youth Hope-Builders Academy is a theological program for high school youth that offers both community-based and residential opportunities. Its purpose is to promote the growth and development of Black youth as Christians and to enliven their awareness of and commitment to Christian vocation and practices.

The Academy also seeks to foster the ongoing support of parent/guardians, church and community leaders for their youth’s Christian formation as a pivotal part of their own Christian practices and learning. Sponsored by the Interdenominational Theological Center and Lilly Endowment Inc., Youth Hope-Builders Academy aims to equip Black youth with spiritual values and leadership skills.
